Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains which data the Discord bots of this BotHub instance (gitkljub.com) and its dashboard process, why, for how long, and what your rights are.
1. Controller
Kljub DiscordTag: real_kljub
E-Mail: danielscholz828@gmail.com
2. Data we process
a) Data from Discord
When a bot of this Service is on a server, it processes data Discord provides through the Discord API, and only for the features the server administrators have turned on:
- IDs of servers, channels, roles, messages and users, as well as user names, display names and avatar links;
- message content where a feature needs it (for example automod filters, auto-responder, message log, modmail, tickets with transcripts, starboard, counting games);
- input to commands, buttons and forms (for example search terms, prompts, uploaded images);
- data features create themselves: moderation cases, warnings and notes, levels and XP, balances, poll votes, giveaway entries, invite attribution, suggestions, birthdays (only if you enter them), voice channel information.
b) Dashboard accounts
For dashboard accounts: user name, optional e-mail address, password only as a hash (Argon2id), two-factor sign-in data (encrypted) or passkeys (public key), a strictly necessary session cookie, and in the server log the time, IP address and browser identifier of sign-ins and changes. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
c) Plugins and third-party services
When server administrators use features that rely on third-party services (for example image generation, media servers, weather data, lyrics, music), exactly the input needed is sent to that service, such as a search term, a prompt or an image. Their privacy policies apply in addition. Plugins run isolated and have no direct access to the database.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the bot and dashboard features (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where you use the Service yourself; otherwise (f): the server administrators' legitimate interest in running their server);
- security, abuse and spam prevention, troubleshooting (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR);
- legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
The Service is non-commercial. We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising, profiling or training AI models.
Source available, non-profit: BotHub is a source-available project (license: PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0, noncommercial use only), developed and run without the intention of making a profit. Original: github.com/Kljub/BothubV3. The source code is public: https://github.com/Kljub/BothubV3, so anyone can check what happens with data.
4. Sharing
Data is shared only
- with Discord, as far as the bot works through the Discord API (for example sending messages);
- with third-party services turned on by server administrators, and only as far as needed (see 2c);
- with technical service providers (for example hosting) acting only on our instructions;
- when the law requires it or you instruct us to.
5. Storage and security
Data is stored on the operator's server. Bot tokens, API keys and two-factor data are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM), passwords only as hashes. Only administrators of this instance have access. If your data is breached, we inform you and the competent authorities as the law requires.
6. Retention
We keep data only as long as the feature needs it. Server administrators can delete their server's data (for example levels, moderation cases, tickets) in the dashboard. A server's data is deleted when the operator removes the bot or the feature, at the latest on request. Logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
Request deletion or changes: write to danielscholz828@gmail.com with your Discord ID and, if it concerns a specific server, its name or ID. We handle requests within one month.
8. Minimum age
The Service is meant for people allowed to use Discord: at least 13 years old or the minimum age in your country.
9. Discord
Processing by Discord itself is covered by Discord's Privacy Policy. This Service is not operated, sponsored or endorsed by Discord Inc.
10. Changes
We update this policy when features or the law change. The current version is always on this page.
